Hand Held and Walk Through Metal Detectors

What is the best hand held electric cake mixer/beater?
I recently started baking cakes at home. I have been using fork to mix the cake mix(store bought:-)) batter so far. What is the best hand held electric beater/mixer for novice bakers like me? I do not want to spend too much on this since I don't bake very frequently.
Please do give the model number for the mixer you suggest.
